2010 Youth Summer Camps:

FOR 9-15 YEAR OLDS

Are you looking for an exciting way to spend a week of your summer holidays? How about spending a week at Shumway Lake learning the sport of canoe and kayaking and meeting new friends?

We are offering four, one week long camps for children from 9 to 15 years of age. Participants will paddle in a variety of canoes and kayaks, including our sprint racing canoes and kayaks, recreational kayaks and the popular war canoe. You will have the opportunity to learn the basics of flat water canoe and kayak racing, as well as get a chance to race each other at the end of the week. We will also go on hikes, swim, enjoy the sun, play soccer, have races, play capture the flag in the forest learn about the ecosystem and so much more!

All camps run Mon – Fri. from 9am – 3pm.

Camp 1: July 5 - 9 Camp 2: July 19 – 23 Camp 3: July 26 – 30 Camp 4: August 2 – 6

The cost is $150.00 per week.

Be sure to book early because spots are filling up fast!

Learn To Race

The main focus of this program is to transition athletes who would like to begin racing for KCKC. There are plenty of regattas to choose from. After you have completed a Learn to Race program, the training for the rest of the summer is free.

August 9 – 12 (Mon – Thurs) 5pm – 7pm The cost of the camp is $50.00 per person.
