Formed in 1990, our sprint club is located on Shumway Lake 15 minutes south of Kamloops on Highway 5a. We share our facilities with the Kamloops Waterskiing and Rowing clubs.

The Goal of the Kamloops Canoe and Kayak Club is to promote and compete in the sport of Sprint Canoe and Kayak within a fun, healthy, and safe environment.

We are primarily a competitive sprint canoe and kayak club that strives to provide opportunities for paddlers of all ages and abilities.

Members of the Kamloops Canoe and Kayak Club have the opportunity to train in both disciplines of the sport; canoe and kayak. Those wishing to complete can race either single, double or four person canoes and kayaks, at distances of 200, 500 and 1000 meters. In addition, the war canoe race provides an exciting finale to most regattas.
